| Pursuant to the provisions of the Code of the Warsaw Stock Exchange, Rules and Regulations of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (Ljubljanska borza, d. d.), and the relevant legislation, the company Gorenje, d. d., hereby makes the following announcement:
The President of the Management board of Gorenje Franjo Bobinac was appointed Vice President for Marketing of Hisense International by the management board of the Hisense Group. Bobinac remains the President of the Management board of Gorenje but will also be responsible for Global Marketing of Hisense International, the corporation that covers all international activities of Hisense Group.
Following the successful acquisition of Gorenje by the global arm of one of the leading Chinese manufacturers of electronics and home appliances Hisense, the management board of the new owner has already taken steps to integrate the manufacturer of home appliances into the 75-thousand-person strong global group. This includes utilizing the potential of the talent pool in one of Europe s oldest manufacturers of home appliances, based in Velenje, Slovenia. Mr Franjo Bobinac as the Vice President for Global Marketing will oversee marketing activities of Hisense International around the globe and use his knowledge and experience to realign the marketing strategies and efforts of all brands within the new brand portfolio of the Hisense Group.
Following the new appointment, Dr. Lan Lin, Executive Vice President of Hisense Group and the Chairman of Hisense International said: This appointment shows, that we believe Gorenje has a great pool of some extremely talented people and we will continue to provide the best possible environment for them to develop their talent and grow. It is for the first time that someone that is a newcomer to the Hisense Group has been appointed to such a prominent position. Mr Bobinac s rich expertise and experience will prove extremely valuable in ensuring our global marketing strategies are aligned and utilized in a way, that provides the most value for all brands within the Hisense family.
Mr Franjo Bobinac, President of the Management board of Gorenje, said after his appointment: Above all this is also a recognition of the great work the team at Gorenje has done over the past years.
