Początki spółki wiązały się z marką „Vabun”, która zmieniła nazwę na Cosma Group. Na początku 2021 r. doszło do zmian właścicielskich. W 2022 rozpoczęło się połączenie ze spółką Cosma Cannabis Sp. z o. o., zakończone formalnie w marcu 2023. Połączenie nastąpiło przez odwrotne przejęcie spółki notowanej na rynku akcji NewConnect. W wyniku tej operacji doszło do połączenia spółek Cosma Group SA z Cosma Cannabis Sp. z o.o. pod nazwą Cosma SA.. Zarząd i rada nadzorcza Cosma SA to w większości założyciele Cosma Cannabis Sp. z o.o., którzy od 2018 roku działają na rynku konopnym. Spółka działa na rynku farmaceutycznym jako podmiot odpowiedzialny za rejestrację i dystrybucję surowców farmaceutycznych oraz leków, w szczególności konopi medycznych oraz surowców ziołowych a także jako producent produktów OTC oraz suplementów diety.
