Please share your view on the current valuation of Wizzair and its sustainability. Thanks in advance.

Unfortunetly Wzzair is not listed in BSE so Wizz is a forigner stock in hungarian economis newspaper. There are not more news about Wizz than about Lufthansa or Ryanair.

But, KBC has pretty good newsletters (I am a client) and they wrote about Wizz (20th July):
"A Wizz Air negyedéves számai összességében nem lettek rosszak, ugyanakkor a kilátásokat kevésbé gondoljuk kedvezőnek. Sőt az eredményességre nézve a lefelé ható kockázatoknak tulajdonítunk nagyobb valószínűséget, így a jelenlegi árfolyamszinteken maradunk semlegesek a részvényre."

With graphs and charts:

Try it to put this to Google Translator. The mean thing they say now it is neutral (quaterly report was good but future prospects are worse.

Honestly I don't see a point for investing on WSE, when you're already active on Hungarian stock market. These two markets are most of the time (last year was quite unusual) correlated with each other. The best occasions tend to be among the smaller companies, but liquidity is a problem. Costs are quite high as well.

Yes, hun and polish market (and HUF and Zloty) usually are in bullish or bearish trend at the same time, but, as You wrote, last year (and this) was unusual.

And, I remember to 2011-12, when a lot of analysts have buried hungarian market because hungarian government's reforms. Tax to the banks (and to other sevice sectors also), strange decisions about pension funds etc. At this point, the "hungarian PKO" was about 3-4000 HUF - now it is around 7000.

Costs? Polish market is a little more expensive for me than Hungarian (10 PLN vs about 3-4.), but not horror.

So, Poland showed it's stength to the european countries in 2009 - only Poland was not in recession.

That's a common myth - but it's not true: www.bankier.pl/wiadomosc/Konie... , GUS revided that data so it was rigged in 2009.

The largest CCE country, good economical politics from the changes to 2012-14. So, in long term I think Poland will be strong and I hope the biggest companies also.

The main problem of largest CCE country is demography. We will not see it in next year or two, but it's a process which is still going. You should check what Michał Stopka written about it: www.michalstopka.pl/polska-kat... . Poland now have a lowest undemployment rate for years and it will became even lower in future. So salaries have to rise and work costs of companies too. That will cut companies earnings and should rise inflation.

So, have you got some favourite polish company?

For quarter of that forum ;) it's PGS Software heheh.

Hi Wojatek,

I think it is not a common myth Poland' economy was outstanding, you know, GDP growth was -5-7% int the most european countries but Poland is...ok, -0,3%. But it was outstanding.

Demography, yes, it is a problem in the whole region, but not just because the low number of births, but emigration also. So, in Hungary the companies also have to raise salaries (for ex Tesco, Lidl, 20% up only in this year) - so, this is also the same in the 2 countries.

Not many from those being listed are worth my time (and money) to be honest. Those who are, are simply too expensive at the moment.
Anyway, I am out of the market now and just observing. I decided to spend money on some other investment, and it will take some time before I have money for investments in stocks again.
The plan is, to be back on the market after the crash. No matter if it will happen in one, two or five years. I will observe and come back, when it will be incredibly cheap. When all the people around the world will be saying - "stay away from the market".

It' funny to read your sentences, because there are a lot of bad news, opinion or interpretation about Poland int the last 1-2 years.

*the government would like to take his hands to pension fund's saving like tha hun government did in 2010-11
*CHF loans problem and bank taxes (but good news a few days ago, about "only" 4 MD zloty)
*political problems (???) - i do not know the problems are real or not, but PIS has not got good renomé in hungarian financial news

Shortly, I do not know. I think You know the global parameters (zero rates policy, slow economic growth, etc) very well, so I would write about my vision about your country (maybe it could be strange for you :)

So, Poland showed it's stength to the european countries in 2009 - only Poland was not in recession. The largest CCE country, good economical politics from the changes to 2012-14. So, in long term I think Poland will be strong and I hope the biggest companies also. And, the same mistakes (CHF loans, bank taxes, uncertainty in economic politics, pension funds...).

One more: I think currency risk is less for me if I compare to other currencies (zloty and forint often move together against the main currencies).

Yes, you are right, maybe bear market are not very far, but I would like to build this portfolio for many years, so, if for ex. PKO will be under 20 Zloty in the end of the year, I will be able to buy more shares, than yesterday. I choose PKO just because it is the largest bank in Poland, altough I tried to collect informations for other banks (I can see quite different P/E values, for ex.)

Anyway, I am conservative now, so I invest only 5-10% of my capital to stocks (in this year).

So, have you got some favourite polish company?

Hi Everybody,

I am az individual investor form Hungary and I enqiured about Polish stock market for some years ago. Unfortunately there are much more information about even Austral or Chinese markets (latest iPhone, Pokemon, etc....) then about the stocks of CCE region...

A few years ago I had a poland stock etf (I bought in NYSE, maybe), but I would like to own Polish companies directly. And, at this time, it seems the situation of Poland or the Polish markets are not very different from the period of 2010-12 of Hungary: political uncertainty, desputs with EU, bank taxes, etc. If history will repeat itself, maybe I will have an advantage. :)

So, yesterday I started to build a new portfolio with a small pack of PKO and my plan is I will continue it (not just PKO but with other WIG20 stocks).

It would be great reading You: what stocks have you got now and what's your plan for tha future and why. What stocks are your top picks or the opposit also.

I am not a professional but if somebody has a question about hungarian stocks, please do not hesitate to ask it and I will try to answer it in Hunglish. :)

Hi krewa,

I don't want to scare You, of course, you can see in your chart that 2011-12 was a great entry point (but there was a semetary sentiment at that time, of course). See the chart of the "hungarian PKO": http://stooq.com/q/?s=otp.hu

So that's why I am looking for news. See the comparison of PKO and OTP (the largest bank in Hun):
stooq.com/q/?s=otp.hu&d=20...

Anyway, there is a hungarian financial site and it has English version, also. http://www.portfolio.hu/en/

I was searching about a polish site (with English version), but I failed.

Hi everybody!

I am looking for a website or a FB page or a forum in English about polish stocks, can you help me? I am an individual investor from Hungary and I am intereresting about your market(s). I think you (Polish) are in a same situation as where we (Hungarians) were around 2010-12 (bank taxes, desputes with EU, etc).

So, if you have some good information sources about WIG20 stocks, please do not hesitate to link them.
